Our 7 Questions

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgI_umGtvRA&feature=youtu.be

We have also added an extra scene into our existing film HIJACKED. We decided to do this to let the audience know more about our protagonist Claire Davies. We feel that this extra scene allows the understanding of why Claire decided to go with our antagonist Jack Marshall and gave more intrigue into the film as it is not always focused on one long scene.

Our Film Title

Our Film title is called HIJACKED, Me and Hannah chose to call our horror film this because of the plot being based around a kidnapping. The killer is called Jack which is what made us include it into the title. Jack is coloured in red to emphasise the danger of the character relating well to the theme and genre of the film being Horror and it also helps the title stand out more, making it more interesting and memorable to look at.

Funding for CharCol Film

A Production Company is the company responsible for the development and physical production of new media for film, tv and radio.

For mine and Hannah's film, CharCol productions would use Miramax as their funding. They are an American entertainment company known for distributing independent and foreign films.

HIJACKED- Opening Sequence

The film which you are about to see recalls a heartbreak that befell a young woman named Claire Davies and her friends. They never would have thought that their day would end in such a mad and morbid way. For these youths, their tranquil drive was replaced by a tormented nightmare.

The actions of that night would lead to the finding of one of  Britain's most grotesque killers know in history.

Looking at an Opening Sequence

Typical Characters Found in a Horror

Evil Character

- Usually a male character
-They have some sort of weapon (knife, chainsaw etc)
-Often wear a mask disguising them completely of appearance or emotion, the audience can make no connection to them at all. They are unknown
-This character has the biggest impact on the audience

Female Victim

- Portrayed as being vulnerable, dumb and in need of protection
-Young, blonde and attractive girl
-This character helps build up the suspense as their behaviour makes the audience on edge.

Non-believer

- Male or Female
-They come across as being at ease, like nothing is wrong and nobody needs to worry
-Too confident, usually being the first character to be killed which then leads to the rest of the characters deaths
-The audience at first take their side until things don't go as planned, leaving the audience unsecure and making them panic

Hero

-Male character,strong and masculine build
-Not many horror films have triumph over evil but they usually are most confident chasing the evil character and then never returning

Hysterical character

-Female
-Known to not wanting to leave a room or building due to the loss of a friend. They are tried to be moved by other characters but insist in staying still and break down into hysterics
-Usually stay behind and are killed or other characters are hunted for, leaving this character last. Both ways result in being killed.

The couple

-Always together throughout the whole film
-Typically away from the rest of the characters when the first murder takes place, making them not no that there is a killer on the run
-Usually killed when together
-The audience have an impact on them as they get frustrated with them

Scary Photos!

Everyone has something that they are either scared of or have a phobia of. The pictures above make us all gasp when we first see them, but we can't help ourselves from looking! Different audiences have different ideas of fear. The most common things that many people today are scared of are blood, spiders, clowns and ghosts. All of these are a pschological aspect that worry and concern people, making them scared and in some cases laugh at when they are unrealistic with the use of prosthetic make up. Looking at the images above, if we were to see these in a horror film, although we do not want to make eye contact with them we have the desire to look and the audience are really scared when infact they know deep down they know they are actually safe.
